Originally built by the Portuguese in 1588 and later fortified by the Dutch, the fort is a living testament to the island's colonial history. Enclosed by sturdy ramparts overlooking the Indian Ocean, the fort is a maze of narrow streets lined with charming colonial-era buildings, boutique shops, art galleries, and cozy cafes.
Local Cuisine: Enjoy a meal or a snack at one of the Fort’s restaurants or cafes. Try local favorites like seafood curry, kottu roti, or fresh tropical juices.
Return to Colombo (Approx. 2.5 hours from Galle) - Departure: Head to the airport for your departure asper the flight schedule.
